Eventr

Privacy policy

Last updated September 30, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Eventr collects, why, and the choices you have. It follows Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.

What we collect

Account details you give us: name, email, phone number and role. The events you plan: dates, venues, budgets, tasks, files and the guests you add. Messages you send in Eventr. Device tokens so we can send you notifications, and technical logs that keep the service secure. Card payments are handled by our payment providers (Stripe and PayHere); we never see or store your card number.

How we use it

To run Eventr: to plan and share events, handle bookings and payments, deliver messages and notifications, keep accounts secure and answer support requests. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

The people you work with in Eventr see what you share with them — for example, a venue owner sees your booking request. We also share the minimum needed with service providers who run parts of Eventr for us (hosting, email, push notifications, payments), and with authorities when the law requires it.

Guest details you add

When you add guests, you are responsible for having their permission to share their contact details with us. We use guest details only to send your invitations, RSVPs and event updates.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep by law, such as payment and tax records.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent at any time. Most details can be changed in Settings; for anything else, contact us. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and passwords are never stored in readable form. No system is perfectly secure; we will tell you and the authorities about a breach that affects you, as the law requires.
